The Charterhouse Causeway Bay receives Manpower Developer (MD) award
The Charterhouse Causeway Bay operates with a strong belief in the worth of its employees. In recognition of its outstanding performance in manpower development, The Charterhouse is awarded with the title and logo of "Manpower Developer (MD)" by Employees Retraining Board (ERB) the first time. The award acknowledges The Charterhouse for its outstanding accomplishments in manpower training and development.
With a view to instilling a corporate culture of embracing manpower training and development throughout the organization, the annual "ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme" ("the Scheme") was first launched in December 2009 to cultivate a common value of the importance of staff training and development. It is the first and only award scheme to assess the level of maturity of manpower training and development strategies and practices of organizations in Hong Kong.
Mr. Bernard Rodrigues, General Manager of The Charterhouse Causeway Bay said, "The Charterhouse is honored to receive this milestone recognition, and it shows our efforts we have devoted in enhancing our employees’ competency and building a better corporate culture. We believe that "People Makes the Difference", and it’s our basic understanding that we devote our efforts and time to developing all our employees so that they are knowledge-based and competent in their respective skills. At the end of the day it’s about the internal branding that is as important as the external branding we pursue upon, and by creating a culture of learning and development platform which is one of the attributes of internal brand-building exercise, we hope to achieve a sustainable workforce, coupled in collaboration with training bodies and institutions that we could worked with to achieve not only our goals, but also in giving back to the community."
